Artificial intelligence for diagnose and prediction the progression of Alzheimer's disease from MRI Images

In the modern society, a significant number of patients are expected to have Aβ accumulation in the brain, and therefore, medical treatments need to be provided in a cost-effective manner with the medical insurance system. Incorporating machine learning into the analysis of MRI certainly provides additional information than the traditional reading of images, and it is likely that subjects with high AD score (ADS) as presented by the BAAD software need follow-up observation, even if their cognitive function is normal. In addition, these subjects are also likely to have accumulated Aβ in their brains, which may provide a basis for actively guiding them to Aβ-specific examination.
