Artificial intelligence has been rapidly developing in every field, and its use is highly expected in medicine. The core technology of AI is machine learning, especially deep learning, and researches using these technology are progressing in medical imaging diagnosis and prediction. On the other hand, bigdata is getting bigger and bigger, and it is drawing attention that it may change the future of health care in the form of two wheels with AI. In this review, the author first take up an AI research in the early 1970s, machine learning and deep learning, and then the importance of bigdata as well as the challenges of these technologies in health care.
