Repetitive Admission of Child:
Comparison of Two Families Using Double ABCX Model
Family members often face various problems accompanying the long-term and repetitive admission of their child to a hospital. In this study, I analyzed two families using double ABCX model for the family adjustment. The results indicate several nursing principles; 1) the importance of nursing intervention in the early stage before the occurrence of wrong recognition, 2) nursing directed to the familial stress in addition to the children's disease, 3) a need to have a clear grasp requirements to keep a familial function, 4) the preparation of family members for stress by having gratitude, and 5) a need to pay attention to the to much demand by family members. In conclusion, guiding principles in the nursing practice were suggested to avoid familial risks.
