Wage Settlement Factors of the Managerial Positions
in Information Technology Services Industry

  Using microdata from the wage level survey by Japan Information Technology Services Industry Association, this paper investigates wage settlement factors of the managerial positions in information technology services industry.
  The study reveals the following significant relationships: (a) enterprise features such as size and capital affiliation have strong positive impacts on the wage level;(b) among personal attributes, only seniority affects the wage level (this tendency can be clearly observed on the wage level which concerns with the basic wages);and (c) job-size and evaluation associate with the wage level of the managerial positions, although the degrees of influence are different according to occupations, a line manger or a project manager.
