Early detection of dementia is the first step to initiate timely treatments and to manage the disease. We have developed a mass-screening tool named Cognitive Assessment for Dementia, iPad version 2 (CADi2). In this article, we reviewed the development, validation, and application of the CADi2. We described the background and details of the development, and summarized that the CADi2 has a good validity. Then the operation of the CADi2 in medical checkup was reported. Lastly, whether the CADi2 is applicable to screening of cognitive decline, and whether the cognitive decline is predictable from medical checkup data were discussed.
