To support family caregivers in the community

Issho Matsumoto

Matsumoto Memory Clinic

We need to support people with dementia and their families with the new Orange Plan to enhance their ease of living in the community.  This study discusses and illustrates the mental phases of family caregivers who support people with dementia in their local communities to identify the proper timing of assistance.  The necessity of family assistance in supporting people with dementia, who continue to work in local communities, is then reaffirmed from the perspective of issues such as elderly caregivers, commuting nursing, caregivers with dementia, and automobile driving by the elderly with dementia, and the importance of collaboration with community comprehensive care centers is explored.
